The floating is our favourite, and has been for a long time. While the floating does go up and down, fixed rates remain comparatively high and remain slow to drop. In fact, our floating rate would have saved you 51% last month.¹ The floating rate has averaged 5.68 ¢/kWh over the last year.

On our floating rate, you always have the security of being able to swap to any of our fixed rates at any time too.

All rates are subject to an administration fee, as well as distribution and transmission fees.

Run by Edmontonians William and Marcy Minchin and headquartered from old Strathcona, Strathcona Power is an Edmonton, Alberta based retailer of power (electricity) and natural gas.

William and Marcy have been doing this since 2012, and have been around long enough to see the cycles of the market and pricing. Through it all, this has provided a way to both support out family and support our neighbourhood and Alberta families more generally.
